Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Test and Evaluation Manager (Principal) to lead T&E efforts at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The role requires extensive DoD program experience, fighter/weapons systems background, and leadership across cross-disciplinary teams.

The position involves coordinating test planning, execution, and data analysis for FMS programs, interfacing with DCMA and partners, and contributing strategic guidance on test readiness and system integration. Strong travel is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years as a US military fighter/bomber, pilot, or weapons systems officer
• 5+ years in test and evaluation/test management including software development, test planning, certification and evaluation
• 10+ years supporting foreign partner requirements through FMS programs/policies
• Ability to supervise junior to senior contractor personnel across multiple disciplines
• 30 years of related experience with proper certifications, 20 years in DoD, OR
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 25 years of experience (15 in DoD) OR Master’s/Doctorate with 20 years (12 in DoD)

Responsibilities

• Supports complex FMS test tasks coordinating and managing test planning, development and execution
• Works with outside offices to coordinate activities and resolve issues
• Supports partner nation F-15 avionics and weapons capabilities and system integration
• Provides expert-level issue resolution and recommendations to achieve program outcomes
• Prepares and updates T&E plans and related documentation across acquisition phases
• Advises Government program source selections on T&E requirements
• Supports Integrated Test Team activities as required
• Assists in determining aircraft configuration requirements and modifications
• Reviews and updates TOs, TCTOs, drawings and ECPs
• Determines capability and availability of DoD/test resources for flight and ground testing
• Recommends test data requirements to meet objectives
• Maintains test plans and related documentation for adequacy and improvement
