Job summary

Teledyne Micropac in Garland, TX is seeking a Test Engineering Manager to lead and continuously improve production and development test activities for high-reliability electronics used in aerospace, defense, and space applications.

You will manage a team of about 5 test engineers and technicians, own test equipment health, and drive improvements in throughput, yield, and test readiness while partnering with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Program Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; 7+ years of test engineering experience.
• Strong technical background in electronics and automated test equipment.
• Experience with LabVIEW-based test software.
• Experience leading engineers and technicians in manufacturing or development.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex test failures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in aerospace/defense/space electronics manufacturing is a plus.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and develop a team of approximately 5 test engineers and technicians.
• Own the health, availability, and performance of production test equipment across product lines.
• Drive improvements to reduce test time, improve throughput, and enhance yield while maintaining product quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups (Operations, Quality, Engineering, Program Management) on test readiness and risks.
• Support product development with test deliverables: TRRs, fixtures, LabVIEW software, plans and validation docs.
