Base-2 Solutions is seeking a QA/Testing professional to develop and execute test plans for system upgrades and new features in Windows/ DC environments. The role includes functional, regression, API testing, and backend log analysis, with a focus on security, accessibility, and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have extensive UI testing experience, proficiency in SQL, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab).

Qualifications

• Requires ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance (US Citizenship)
• Extensive experience performing functional and regression testing of UI web applications
• Experience in backend troubleshooting by reviewing logs to identify failures
• Proficient with defect tracking systems and SQL queries
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and automated testing
• Knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements and accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG)

• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for system upgrades and new features
• Perform functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications
• Execute manual testing methodologies for complex scenarios
• Review and debug backend logs
• Perform API testing for backend services (Apache Solr, RESTful services)
• Perform database integrity check using SQL queries.
• Perform system buildout including installation, configuration, and integration.
• Manage defect tracking systems and coordinate issue resolution
• Validate compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements
• Ensure adherence to government accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG)
• Test enterprise applications in Windows Server environments
• Verify security controls and data protection measures
• Develop and maintain UI automation frameworks for regression testing
• Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Test Apache Tomcat application server deployments and configurations
• Validate authentication with backend interaction with LDAP service.

• Proficiency with defect tracking systems
• Experience writing and executing SQL queries to validate application data
• Experience performing verification of system buildout including installation, configuration, and integration Preferred Qualifications

• Strong collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams in regulated environments
• Knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements and government accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG)
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments
• Experience testing Apache Tomcat application servers, Oracle 19c databases, and SAP Business Intelligence interfaces
• API testing experience (Apache Solr, RESTful services)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab
• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph (preferred) Required Education and Experience Equivalency
• 18 Years of experience in Software or Systems Engineering roles or a highly related field of work with similar scope and responsibilities.
• A Bachelor's degree may be substituted for 4 years of experience and a Master's Degree may be substituted for 6 years of experience. Required Security Clearance
• Must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph; obtained after hire.
