Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a seasoned software/systems tester to lead functional and regression testing for Java web applications. You will develop test plans, execute manual and API testing, and validate security and accessibility standards in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities include debugging logs, SQL validation, and coordinating defect resolution while collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure quality across Windows Server deployments and backend integrations.

Qualifications

• 18+ years experience in Software or Systems Engineering or related field.
• US citizenship required, TS/SCI with CI Polygraph eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for upgrades and new features.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to Obtain TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance which requires US Citizenship
• Extensive experience performing functional and regression testing of UI web applications
• Experience in backend troubleshooting by reviewing application and server logs to determine the cause of an application failure
• Proficiency with defect tracking systems
• Experience writing and executing SQL queries to validate application data
• Experience performing verification of system buildout including installation, configuration, and integration

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent analytical skills and meticulous documentation practices
• Strong collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams in regulated environments
• Knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements and government accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG)
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments
• Experience testing Apache Tomcat application servers, Oracle 19c databases, and SAP Business Intelligence interfaces
• API testing experience (Apache Solr, RESTful services)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab
• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph (preferred)

Required Education and Experience Equivalency

• 18 Years of experience in Software or Systems Engineering roles or a highly related field of work with similar scope and responsibilities.
• A Bachelor's degree may be substituted for 4 years of experience and a Master's Degree may be substituted for 6 years of experience.

Required Security Clearance

• Must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph; obtained after hire.
• U.S. citizenship is required
