Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience in submarine construction, test, operation, or maintenance, or related naval construction.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering in developing methods and tools for submarine fabrication and assembly.
• Develop layouts for production facilities and upgrades.
• Review drawings for manufacturing concerns; develop engineered sequences for activities; prepare lifting and handling procedures for rigging submarine components.
• Provide proactive construction support and maintain interface with construction trades.
• Mentor Manufacturing Engineers to apply engineering skills to ship construction.
