Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks a Senior Associate, Test Engineer at Cape Canaveral, FL. Join the Systems Test and Launch Operations team to integrate and test hypersonic launch vehicles, supporting space-bound missions and ballistic missile defense testing.

Essential duties include assembling multi-stage missile systems, system-level testing, and operating advanced test equipment. Travel domestically and internationally as needed; security clearance required.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical, aerospace, or electrical engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with 0–2 years.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform integrating, testing and assembling of multi-stage missile systems or comparable aerospace hardware.
• Participate in and support system level functional hardware testing.
• Operate basic electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, signal generators, etc.
• Operate specialized support and handling equipment for system level testing and troubleshooting.
• Generate, author and maintain standard test, build and operations procedures.
• Willing and able to travel for extended periods both inside and outside of the continental U.S.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical, aerospace or electrical engineering

Graduate Degree or equivalent (0–2 years)

6+ years of related experience in lieu of degree
