Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking a Senior Test Engineer for the Exlar team in Chanhassen, MN. The role leads test strategy development, hardware modernization, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure reliable, cost-effective testing for complex systems.

You will design and implement test methods, develop Python scripts, and mentor junior engineers while supporting production and development needs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 6-10+ years of progressive experience in test engineering or system validation.
• Proven success designing and executing test strategies for complex systems.
• Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) or Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA) or equivalent LabVIEW experience.
• Hands-on experience with test equipment hardware, including harnessing, soldering, ITAs, DAQ hardware selection.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement cost-effective test methods, fixtures, and test specs for production and development environments.
• Reverse engineer, repair, modify, and modernize legacy test equipment to align with standardized platforms.
• Perform hands-on assembly of test equipment including soldering and ITA integration.
• Develop test plans and lead testing activities to verify functional, performance, and regulatory compliance.
• Create test procedures and Python-based test scripts; generate automated reports and ensure traceability.
