Job summary

Acara Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to develop and execute detailed test plans and automated test systems. You will collaborate with product engineers, design test fixtures, and lead in-house tests across functional areas, ensuring quality and compliance.

The role requires 5+ years with LabVIEW, Altium and SolidWorks, and a strong command of MS Office. Occupational safety and regulatory adherence are key. Relocation is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field.
5+ years developing and maintaining test executive software (LabVIEW) with version control.
5+ years in advanced engineering design tools (Altium, SolidWorks).
5+ years Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Product engineers to define, document, and analyze test requirements and acceptance criteria.
Design, document, and implement test fixtures, cables, and ATEs.
Lead cross-functional reviews of test fixtures and automated test systems.
Work with Test Equipment Technicians to build test fixtures and automated systems.
Stay up to date with testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Identify, document, and track test anomalies with engineering teams.
Troubleshoot and repair complex test equipment and contribute to issue discovery.
Perform functional, environmental, and field testing; run regression tests.
Lead in-house special tests with instrumentation such as thermal control, data recorders, analyzers.
Update process documentation to increase efficiency and quality.
Guide junior engineers on automated test execution and equipment troubleshooting.
