Syms Strategic Group, LLC seeks a Software Testing Principal (MUMPS) to lead testing for mission-critical healthcare apps in a remote, U.S.-based role. The ideal candidate will drive test planning, execution, and defect resolution for MUMPS/InterSystems Cache environments, ensuring data integrity and interoperability across HL7/FHIR transactions.

The position requires 10+ years in software testing, healthcare experience, and strong SDLC knowledge.

Qualifications

Experience testing healthcare or other highly regulated environments.
Experience testing enterprise healthcare applications.
Experience supporting legacy, mission-critical systems.
Experience testing MUMPS/InterSystems Cache applications.
Experience validating healthcare workflows and system functionality.
Experience developing detailed test plans, scenarios, scripts, and cases.
Experience performing functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
Understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies.
Experience validating data updates and data integrity.
Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, HIPAA EDI transactions.

Responsabilités

Support testing and QA for mission-critical healthcare apps in MUMPS/Cache.
Support modernization, system enhancements, interoperability initiatives, and production support for legacy systems.
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, scripts, and procedures for MUMPS/Cache environments.
Validate enhancements, maintenance releases, defects and upgrades.
Support functional, integration, regression, UAT, system, and end-to-end testing.
Verify data integrity across legacy healthcare apps, databases, and external systems.
Test HL7, FHIR, EDI transactions and related healthcare standards.
Participate in Beta/IOC testing with facilities and end users; document results and coordinate fixes.
Analyze and troubleshoot defects, integration failures, and production incidents.
Collaborate with developers, BAs, product owners, and users to validate requirements.
Develop test data and environments supporting healthcare workflows.
Execute manual and automated testing where applicable.
Track and communicate testing metrics, defects, risks, and statuses.
Validate VistA/FileMan integrations and healthcare messaging platforms.
