Bart & Associates, Inc. seeks a Senior Test Engineer to support modernization and validation of a government information system. You will lead testing for Java-based web apps, ensuring functionality, accessibility, security, and performance in a complex enterprise environment.

The role blends front-end testing with backend troubleshooting, requiring TS/SCI with CI Polygraph and close collaboration with developers, analysts, admins, and security teams across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph; U.S. Citizenship required.
• 18 years of experience in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Testing, or a related technical discipline.
• Extensive experience with functional and regression testing of web-based user interfaces.
• Strong expertise in UI validation and cross-browser compatibility testing.
• Experience troubleshooting via logs and server-side issues; SQL queries for data validation.
• Experience verifying installations, configurations, and integrations; RESTful API testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and cases.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and UI testing.
• Validate cross-browser compatibility and accessibility compliance.
• Conduct backend troubleshooting through logs, APIs, and DB queries.
• Execute system build verification, installation, configuration, and integration testing.
• Validate deployments with Tomcat, Oracle 19c, Solr, LDAP, and SAP BI integrations.
• Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements and 508/WCAG standards.
• Develop and maintain automated UI testing frameworks.
• Integrate test automation into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Track, document, and manage defects through resolution.
• Produce test reports, readiness assessments, and quality metrics.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, system admins, and security personnel.
