Job summary

Quartermaster is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to own automated test frameworks and integration pipelines for our core systems. You will build scalable test platforms and validate hardware-to-cloud data flows to ensure edge platforms and back-office systems operate with high reliability.

This role moves quickly from requirements to production-grade test automation, making pragmatic architecture choices and delivering verification tools that empower engineering teams to ship code

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software test engineering or test automation.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Java for test automation.
• Experience testing RESTful APIs and complex data flows in microservices.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and pipeline checks.
• Hands-on with CI/CD tools and containerized environments (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to own test infrastructure end-to-end and perform root-cause analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy automated test frameworks and validation tools.
• Develop end-to-end integration tests, regression suites, and data quality checks.
• Create test automation scripts in Python, TypeScript, or Java to simulate real-world environments.
• Establish monitoring, automated alerts, and CI/CD testing pipelines.
• Investigate failures across distributed systems and conduct root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define test plans and performance benchmarks.
