Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Test Engineer to support the Airborne Warning and Control Systems (AWACS) program, within the USAF Digital Directorate, located at Hanscom AFB, MA.

WORK LOCATION: Hanscom AFB, MA

WORK STATUS: Full-time; Salaried

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, plan, and implement strategies to analyze and evaluate test results for complex system activities.
2. Prepare, maintain, update, and review test plans and test-related procedures, including T&E strategies, requirements, and objectives.
3. Prepare Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), and monitor/review test events, analyses, and reports.
4. Review and analyze design documentation including engineering drawings and specifications, applying engineering techniques to evaluate broad and complex problems.
5. Prepare T&E segments of acquisition documentation, ensuring specification/performance requirement compliance and providing recommendations for improvement.
6. Support major program reviews, inspections, conferences, test plan working group meetings, and other test-related events.
7. Support certification test activities, including data collection during rapid development and operational test events.
8. Manage and support training for test activities and mentor other test managers.
9. Manage and support execution of test cases, evaluations, and demonstrations.
10. Review and analyze engineering performance reports, predictions, measures of effectiveness and suitability, and trade-off studies.

Qualifications:

• Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
• Security Clearance: Must have an active US Security Clearance
• Education: Bachelor's degree in a professional engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program and at least 12 years of relevant experience, including 5 in the DoD.
