ABMS Senior Test Engineer - Secret Clearance Required-(ONSITE)

Job Overview

As a Senior Test Engineer on the ABMS Network Developer Program within the C2BM Engineering Department, you will design, develop, and implement automated testing solutions for network systems and infrastructure services. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the functionality, performance, and security compliance of ABMS’s advanced networking products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automated tests using frameworks like PyTest and network configuration tests with Python.
  • Utilize NetDevOps tools such as Ansible, Terraform, NAPALM, and Nornir to validate infrastructure as code and configuration management.
  • Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid feedback on network changes and software releases.
  • Perform functional and performance testing of network devices, protocols, and configurations.
  • Support security compliance efforts under RMF guidelines by developing automated compliance checks.
  • Work with Systems Engineers to interpret requirements and ensure traceability across requirements, tests, and results.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, backlog grooming, and cross-functional discussions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Degree in STEM or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years relevant experience or 3 years with an advanced degree; 9 years without a degree).
  • Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
  • Proficiency in Python for test automation.
  • Experience with network testing concepts, tools, and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of NetDevOps workflows, including IaC/PaC, Git, Ansible, Terraform.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.
  • Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance and U.S. citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PyTest, Jinja2, NAPALM, Nornir, NetBox, Nautobot.
  • Skills in troubleshooting network issues with tools like Wireshark or tcpdump.
  • Background in network compliance, performance tuning, or emulation.
  • Knowledge of RMF and DoD security controls.
  • Strong communication skills for documenting test plans and results.
