Job summary

Symetra's Individual Life Division is seeking a full-time Test Automation Lead to unify the test automation strategy across ILD delivery teams. You will mentor STEs, SDETs, and engineers while hands-on implementing automated testing across UI, API, and performance with strong DevOps integration.

You will collaborate across ILD and Symetra to champion quality, improve speed to market, and drive observability and security testing within Azure DevOps pipelines.

Qualifications

• Defined and implemented test automation strategy across multiple delivery teams.
• Mentored Software Test Engineers and delivery-team engineers to foster quality-first mindset.
• Hands-on experience building/maintaining UI and API test automation.
• Strong DevOps mindset; integrated automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive a unified test automation strategy across ILD delivery teams.
• Develop and maintain automated tests for integration, UI, end-to-end, performance, and security testing.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to STEs, SDETs, and engineers across ILD.
• Lead root-cause analysis for automation failures and improve test coverage.
