Job summary

Symetra seeks a hands-on Test Automation Lead in the Individual Life Division to establish a unified automation strategy across delivery teams. You’ll mentor engineers and drive a quality-first mindset, pairing with DevOps, product owners, and stakeholders to codify automated practices.

You will champion shift-left initiatives, define quality gates in Azure DevOps, and deliver observable, scalable automation across UI, API, and performance testing to improve speed-to-market.

Qualifications

• Defined and implemented enterprise or cross-team test automation strategy.
• Mentored engineers and influenced delivery teams without direct authority.
• Experience delivering in Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Define automated quality gates and validation standards for Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Develop and maintain automated tests across UI, API, and performance.
• Lead root-cause analysis of automation failures and drive improvements.
• Mentor Software Test Engineers and delivery-team engineers in quality-first practices.
