Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of software test automation experience with OO development.
• Web development programming experience.
• Relational DB design/development with MySQL or MS SQL incl. queries/procs.
• Proficiency beyond Software Engineer I with coding skills.
• OO analysis and development in large enterprise apps.
• Development/consumption of web services preferred.
• Experience with XSLT, XML, JSON.
• HTTP, C#, SQL experience.
• Knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver or APIs.
• Experience mentoring automation engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot software applications and test tools.
• Expand knowledge of operations related to assigned projects.
• Perform routine automation assignments with minimal supervision.
• Develop understanding of assigned applications, internal customer areas, standards, techniques, and business knowledge.
• Demonstrate understanding of departmental procedures, programming standards, and training materials.
• Design and develop white-box testing of applications.
• Provide accurate time estimates of assigned tasks and projects.
• Recommend possible improvements in applications.
• Perform code reviews.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Mentor other engineers.
• Refactor legacy components as needed.
• Communicate with product owners and end users.
• Participate in training or development of others as directed.
• Maintain familiarity with department methodology.
• Analyze alternatives and provide cost/benefit comparisons.
• Monitor automated processes and perform remediation.
