Job summary

SHAZAM is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join our Des Moines-based team. You will create functional, regression, and user acceptance test automation for our software applications, supporting the full SDLC.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing, including development and execution of automated test scripts, Java development (preferably using Visual Studio Code), database concepts, and writing SQL queries to support testing efforts.
• Experience using defect tracking and issue management tools is required.
• Proficiency in a programming language is required, with a preference for Java or a C-based language.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools is required. Experience with a test management tool is preferred.
• Exposure to mobile application testing and Sauce Labs is considered a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and execute test automation as part of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Document the success and failure of automated tests for metrics gathering and reporting independently.
• Schedule and execute automated test scripts on appropriate hardware resources during specified test periods.
