Job summary

CertiPath is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test (SSET) to mature and automate QA across the TrustSuite family. This full-time role reports to the Manager of Product Quality and collaborates with Development to deliver high customer satisfaction.

Based in Reston, VA, the position is hybrid (3 days onsite). You will design test frameworks, implement UI/API automation, and leverage AI tools to accelerate development. Strong Linux, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on automation testing with ownership of test frameworks and pipelines.
• 5+ years with Pytest and Django testing framework.
• Strong Linux-based environment experience including shell scripting.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for running tests in containers.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Experience with Playwright for frontend/UI test automation.
• Proficiency in API testing and test management tools (Jira/Zephyr).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, IT, cybersecurity, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Mature, automate, and define quality across CertiPath software solutions in the TrustSuite family.
• Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks covering frontend (UI) and backend (API).
• Collaborate with project teams to implement scalable automation aligned with the roadmap.
• Leverage AI coding assistants to accelerate test development and maintain code quality.
• Participate in Sprint Planning and support QA throughout each sprint.
