Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to lead automated testing across modernization lifecycles for FAA BNATCS programs. This on-site role focuses on DevSecOps, scalable frameworks, and SME-level testing expertise at a critical aviation systems hub.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship Required.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's degree with years of experience or equivalent.
• Proven expertise in test automation tools (Robot Framework and Playwright).
• Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with cloud-based automation testing in AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments.
• Knowledge of test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, optimization, and scaling of test automation frameworks in DevSecOps/CI pipelines.
• Develop reusable automation libraries and frameworks for efficiency and consistency.
• Create automated test scripts for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
• Ensure automation aligns with safety-critical, compliance, and certification needs.
• Provide SME on automation tools, frameworks, and best practices.
• Integrate automated testing into continuous testing pipelines for faster releases.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure systems are testable.
• Manage defect tracking and automation-driven remediation.
• Mentor test engineers in automation methodologies and scripting.
• Conduct code reviews and framework audits for quality and reuse.
• Produce automation coverage metrics and executive dashboards.
• Support test readiness reviews and system certification for FAA programs.
• Drive automation strategy across FAA programs.
