Job summary

Peraton seeks a Junior Test Automation Engineer to advance automated testing for FAA BNATCS programs at 100% on-site NJ tech center near Egg Harbor Township. You will help design scalable automation, integrate tests into CI/CD, and mentor others in scripting and tooling.

The role emphasizes safety-critical, certification-focused testing across development lifecycles, with leadership exposure and mission-driven impact in federal aviation programs.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required with ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust.
• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience or Master’s degree and 3+ years; or equivalent.
• Proven expertise in test automation tools (Robot Framework and Playwright).
• Proficiency in programming/scripting (Codebeamer or Spira Test).
• Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM).
• Proven experience with Linux.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, optimization, and scaling of test automation within DevSecOps/CI/CD.
• Create reusable automation libraries and frameworks.
• Develop automated scripts for functional/integration/regression/perf testing.
• Align automation with safety-critical, compliance, and certification needs.
• Mentor engineers in automation methodologies and scripting.
• Produce coverage metrics, dashboards, and executive reports.
• Support FAA leadership with test readiness and compliance activities.
