Job summary

Red Global is seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks, ensuring quality, reliability, and performance across our software applications. You will blend programming expertise with QA know-how and work closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps to shift-left quality in the SDLC.

You will integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, implement risk-based testing strategies, and help reduce flaky tests.

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks (Playwright/Selenium/Cypress).
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript for test code.
• Hands-on API testing with REST APIs using REST Assured, Postman, or Playwright API testing.
• CI/CD/DevOps experience: integrate tests into pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps).
• Test design and quality engineering with regression testing and testing pyramid.
• SQL and database validation for data integrity.
• Debugging and root-cause analysis to reduce flaky tests.
• Agile/Scrum collaboration embedding quality throughout the lifecycle.

Must-Have Skills

• Test Automation Frameworks: Proven expertise in building and maintaining automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
• Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in Java, Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript, with the ability to write clean, reusable, maintainable test code.
• API Testing: Hands-on experience with REST APIs, using tools such as REST Assured, Postman, or Playwright API testing.
• CI/CD and DevOps: Experience integrating automated tests into pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Test Strategy and Quality Engineering: Strong understanding of test design, risk-based testing, regression testing, and the testing pyramid.
• Database and SQL: Ability to validate data integrity and backend processes using SQL and database queries.
• Debugging and Root Cause Analysis: Proven ability to investigate failures, identify defects, reduce flaky tests, and improve automation reliability.
• Agile and Collaboration: Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, collaborating with developers and product teams, and embedding quality throughout the development lifecycle.
