Job summary

Blueprint is hiring a Senior Terraform Infrastructure Engineer to modernize a critical app from AKS/VMs to Azure Container Apps and Azure SQL. You’ll own the infrastructure, translate target architecture into secure Terraform modules, and guide platform decisions across engineering, security, data, and operations.

You’ll evaluate workloads, design scalable, serverless options, and ensure robust governance, security, and observability.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years infrastructure/platform/DevOps experience.
• Five+ years delivering production Azure environments with Terraform.
• Expert in Terraform architecture and IaC with 7+ years experience.
• Expert knowledge of AKS and Kubernetes troubleshooting with 7+ years.
• Experience supporting containerized APIs/web apps (7+ years).
• Six+ years in Azure migration architecture and platform selection.
• Five+ years modernizing/migrating apps on Azure VMs.
• Five+ years with Docker/OCI images and container security.

Responsibilities

• Lead Terraform architecture for migration landing zones, networking and security.
• Build reusable Terraform modules for Azure networks, private endpoints, NSGs, Container Apps, SQL and Key Vault.
• Manage Terraform providers, remote state, drift detection, policies, and CI/CD promotion.
• Evaluate AKS workloads and troubleshoot control-plane interactions, node pools and scheduling.
• Assess containerized APIs/web apps for runtime dependencies and scaling.
• Plan migrations from VM-hosted apps to Azure SQL/Managed Instances or retained VMs.
• Establish observability, alerts, runbooks, security evidence, and rollback procedures.
• Partner with engineering/security/data/ops to document decisions and migrations.
