Job summary

Central Transport seeks a Terminal Manager for our Gainesville, FL terminal. You will lead dock operations, oversee loading/unloading freight, and mentor a team of drivers and dock workers to deliver reliable service across our LTL network.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, a focus on safety, and a high comfort level with technology and process improvement. This role requires flexibility to cover varying shifts and a dedication to operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Prior LTL management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Commitment to superior customer service.
• High aptitude for technology and systems.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication.
• Willing to work approximately 50 hours per week.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dock operations at the terminal.
• Manage loading/unloading freight and forklift traffic.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain terminal staff.
• Provide leadership to drivers and dock workers.
• Monitor dock production to meet KPI goals.
• Maintain safety in line with DOT/OSHA standards.
• Support a culture of excellence in product quality.
• Flexibly shift with business levels.
