Job summary

Leidos seeks a Tenable RHEL ACAS Administrator in Alexandria, VA. The role supports the DISA GSM-O program, performing system administration for Tenable ACAS on RHEL, configuring scans, and delivering reports per DoD policies.

This position requires an active Secret clearance and DoD 8570 IAT II certification. You will troubleshoot components, deploy updates, and collaborate with DISA J6 Pentagon leadership to maintain secure, compliant environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree + 12+ years IT experience in DoD environments.
• Active Secret clearance or higher (TS/SCI possible).
• DoD 8570 IAT II certification required prior to start.
• Current RHEL certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience running ACAS on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Hands-on experience with general RHEL administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with multiple network security zones, subnetting, VRFs, and VLANs.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to create complex technical reports on analytic findings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as integral member of a Tenable team supporting various organizations across the National Capital Region.
• Manage the RHEL servers that are part of the Tenable ACAS for DISA J6 Pentagon.
• Provide performance tuning to systems and troubleshoot Tenable components across a large environment.
• Provide solution engineering support to ensure systems meet current and future standards.
• Install updates to Tenable software as released and in compliance with STIG requirements.
• Deploy, maintain, and tune Tenable scanners to meet current and future needs.
• Deploy, maintain, and tune Tenable Nessus Managers and Nessus Agents to meet current and future needs.
• Develop/create, deploy, and manage Tenable scan configurations.
• Conduct scans and provide detailed reporting to DISA J6 Pentagon leadership and scanned organizations.
• Ensure ACAS scanners and Security Center are operational and reporting properly.
• Assist customers in resolving ACAS issues and provide recommendations as needed.
• Perform monthly vulnerability scans and create repositories, queries, and dashboards to ensure vulnerability data is available.
• Investigate false positives or potentially confusing scan data results.
• Develop tracking mechanism for false positives and track until resolution.
