Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories’ Primary Standards Lab (PSL) is seeking an Engineering and Operations Technologist to support the Temperature Calibration Laboratory in New Mexico. On a typical day you would perform onsite calibrations of temperature-controlled equipment and support secondary calibrations while adhering to PSL procedures.

This role requires onsite work at Sandia. The PSL is ISO/IEC 17025 accredited and offers a variety of metrology services; salary ranges from $74,700 to $123,400

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general equivalency, plus three years of equivalent experience; or equivalent relevant education.
• Experience and demonstrated skill in troubleshooting systems/equipment
• Computer skills commensurate with the duties listed herein including the Microsoft Office suite with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite calibrations of temperature-controlled equipment, including ovens, furnaces, environmental chambers, and other thermal-processing devices.
• Support secondary temperature calibrations performed within the PSL.
