Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years customer/member service or cash handling/teller experience.
• One year in financial institution in a customer service oriented position preferred.
• Proven cross sales ability.
• Flexibility of work hours and proven reliability/dependability.

Responsibilities

• Processes a wide variety of transactions for members including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, payroll adjustments, bank checks, gift cards, VISA cash advances, IRA deposits/withdrawals in accordance with established Credit Union policies and procedures.
• Develops potential new business by uncovering clues and needs during interactions with members, presenting benefits of products/services, and referring members to the appropriate CU partner for fulfillment.
• Assists in all aspects of opening and closing the branch; serves as back-up to the Teller Operations Supervisor or Assistant Branch Manager.
• Balances the ATM and cash drawer; balances cash vault; and secures cash per policy.
• Maintains and balances daily activities; supports training of staff; focuses on cross-training to develop sales and skills.
• Provides assistance and coaching to other tellers; prepares Check 21 deposits; orders daily currency shipment.
• Interacts with members and staff daily in a prompt, effective, professional manner.
• Answers telephones and directs callers to appropriate department; adheres to Bank Secrecy Act policy and procedures.
• May work some Saturdays and provide coverage at alternate locations as needed.
• Supports attainment of sale/service goals through meetings and product knowledge training.
• Performs additional duties as requested.
