Job summary

SAIC seeks an experienced and energetic Sr. Principal Telemetry Systems Engineer to support modernization of space launch ranges and Assured Access to Space missions.

Located in Cape Canaveral, FL, the role drives digital transformation and rapid prototyping to accelerate the Spaceport of the future. Responsibilities cover system-level engineering, MBSE adoption, and documentation across requirements, interfaces and test plans, with collaboration across platform partners and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Requires 12 years systems integration and systems engineering, or 9 years with Master’s.
• Familiar with SharePoint, Excel, Access and Project for collaboration.
• Experience with MBSE and digital engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide system-level engineering support to a cross-functional team.
• Develop preliminary solutions to engineering problems of moderate scope.
• Apply MBSE and DE to address sponsor challenges.
• Use agile acquisition concepts to support recommendations.
• Employ rapid prototyping to inform capability requirements.
• Collaborate with platform partners to advance MBSE across the enterprise.
• Create and maintain technical documentation (requirements, specs, interfaces, test plans).
• Develop and document engineering processes and standards.
