Job summary

Burns & McDonnell seeks a Senior Telecommunications Specialist to lead design efforts on a range of projects from conceptual through design completion. You will work within multidisciplinary teams on facilities including power, process, healthcare, airports, and government sectors.

The role requires strong communication, analytical thinking, and collaboration skills, with extensive CAD software experience. Applicants should have relevant degrees with multiple years of telecom engineering

Qualifications

Bachelor degree plus 7 years telecommunications engineering experience; consulting preferred.
Associate degree plus 9 years experience.
High School Diploma/GED with 11 years experience.
Strong knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced knowledge of engineering techniques; strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

Lead telecommunications design from conceptual phase through design completion under licensed engineer direction.
Modify and review production drawings for diverse facilities (power, process, industrial, healthcare, airports, education, government).
Design telecom components per project managers' requirements.
Develop cost proposals and qualification statements to meet targets.
Prepare project budgets and cost estimates; report performance.
Provide leadership and mentorship within telecommunications practice.
