Job description

The Field Engineer IV will work closely with potential customers on a technical level to secure design-ins and support existing customers with their applications. The Field Engineer must have a solid technological base for effectively understanding the technical specifications involved in application engineering, as they provide technical support, give technical presentations, and design and modify application systems. They must also possess good interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills, and good organizational skills to effectively communicate technical specifications to customers.

Scope:

• Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
• Works on complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of situations or data.

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

• Capture and understand customers’ technical and product requirements related to battery functioning and their use in terminal and host devices, ensuring smooth transfer to the client’s internal team.
• Lead the technical, technological, and functional aspects of proposals to customers.
• Troubleshoot system applications on customer request and resolve engineering issues regarding system applications.
• Build mutual trust with customers’ technical staff.
• Prepare relevant records, data, and documents for product presentations, conduct training sessions for new products and services, and support the sales team in demonstrations and training.
• Oversee technical training for consumer-specific applications of engineering products in the development stage.
• Perform other duties as required. This list is not exhaustive.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from an accredited college or university and 8+ years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Networking experience with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
• Ability to determine methods and procedures for new assignments and coordinate activities of other personnel.
• Good understanding of effective network design methodologies.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting and assessing live networks.
