Job description

Trinity Cyber invented the ability to perform Full Content Inspection and Mitigation on live internet traffic. We can open, scan, apply a mitigation action, and rebuild full-session internet traffic (protocol fields and files) in both directions, inline, and in context to mitigate actual threat content before it becomes an incident or loss. Our solution outperforms and replaces every Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solution on the market. You will be part of an innovative and collaborative team that is fundamentally changing the cyber security industry.

THE ROLE

Ideal candidates will possess the highest degree of knowledge and experience with C++, be self motivated, flexible to new coding standards and processes, and have some past experience with intrusion or threat detection and prevention.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Utilize your expertise in C++ to research and develop new protocol proxies, file parsers, and detection logic algorithms.
• Invent creative solutions to extend the capabilities of our platforms.
• Help define and build new features or applications based on technology or mission needs.
• Write clear, maintainable, highly performant, secure and well-tested code.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure that our codebase remains of the highest quality.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Significant experience writing high throughput and/or low latency applications in C++.
• Willingness to perform deep research and/or reverse engineer poorly documented standards.
• Experience with either application layer protocol parsing or file format parsing is highly desirable.
• Experience with performance tuning on Linux is also highly desirable – both full system (vTune, perf, gprof, etc.) and micro-benchmarking approaches.
• Familiarity with basic function of major kernel subsystems (network stack, memory management, process/thread management, etc.) is preferred.
• Familiarity with issues surrounding application layer proxying of network protocols is also a plus.
• Strong understanding of computer security principles.
• Experience with TDD and testing frameworks.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math is preferred.
