Job summary

Gaston Electrical in Greater Boston is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead telecommunications, security, AV, and wireless installations from concept to completion. You will plan, direct, and budget projects while ensuring profitability and high client satisfaction.

Responsibilities include scheduling, cost control, and cross-trade coordination with the BIM team, plus RFIs and change orders to optimize field operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years low voltage project management experience.
• Manage projects from beginning to end and drive to close successfully.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Urgency and problem-solving skills.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of Telecommunications Structured Cabling Systems and vendors in market; working knowledge of Security, AV, and Wireless Technologies.
• Professional certifications like RCDD, PMP, CTS encouraged but not required.
• Experience using Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word.
• Knowledge of Spectrum Construction software and Conest Estimating software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
• Engage regularly with customers and respond with urgency to build trust.
• Meet project deadlines and customer expectations.
• Participate in estimating hand off meetings to establish project budgets and initial project expectations.
• Establish project schedule.
• Ensure manpower is appropriately assigned to projects.
• Create cost code allocations from initial estimate.
• Identify pre-fabrication opportunities and plan with BIM and field ops teams.
• Oversee multi-trade coordination with the BIM department.
• Work with Safety Manager to ensure jobsite safety compliance.
• Maximize project profitability and reduce installation costs.
• Participate in WIP meetings with cost-to-complete estimates.
• Price and negotiate project change orders.
