Telamon Installer IV position is an experienced professional who independently executes complex field activities related to installing, maintaining, and servicing telecommunications equipment. This role requires extensive industry knowledge and the ability to guide less experienced installers.

Safely perform power and fiber/copper installations, test systems, and troubleshoot to ensure reliability. Central office environments and large-scale deployments are common, and adherence to standards is

Responsibilities

• Understands and follows Telamon's established safety practices and procedures.
• Properly use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform additions, removals, and modifications on working equipment and circuits, including:
• Software additions or upgrades
• Addition or removal of batteries
• Addition or removal of circuits on working power distribution sources.
• Install, configure, and integrate telecommunication equipment such as switches, routers, fiber optics, and power systems in central office environments.
• Mount racks, frames, and shelves, ensuring all equipment is securely and correctly installed.
• Perform cable installation, termination, labeling, and lacing, adhering to industry standards.
• Properly test and troubleshoot fiber/copper installations.
• Perform power verification and power up equipment.
• Tests and evaluate systems to determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing systems.
• Conduct diagnostic tests on systems and equipment using tools like OTDRs, power meters, and spectrum analyzers.
• Maintains quality awareness and implements quality control processes.
• Performs in-process and final quality inspections.
• Reads and stays current on installation documentation.
