Job summary

Telamon is seeking an experienced Installer IV to independently execute complex field activities related to installing, maintaining, and servicing telecommunications equipment. You will guide less experienced installers and ensure compliance with safety practices and industry standards.

The role requires proficiency in installing cables, racks, power systems, and grounding, plus the ability to read drawings and interpret job plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• 2 years electronics training from a technical trade school or military.
• Minimum of 6 years of field service or equivalent.
• Proficiency in relevant Network Elements (1, 2, 3, or 4).
• Experience leading, training, and motivating less experienced installers.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and integrate telecom equipment such as switches, routers, fiber optics, and power systems.
• Mount racks, frames, and shelves securely.
• Test and troubleshoot fiber/copper installations.
• Lead and train junior installers on site.
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers to align installation plans and schedules.
• Prepare MOPs (Methods of Procedure) and JIMs (Job Information Memos).
