Job summary

AT&T Global Public Sector is seeking a Senior Telecommunication Engineer to design, implement, and maintain DOS Enterprise Telecommunications networks for voice and data services in domestic locations. The role requires onsite presence in Washington, DC and involves coordinating systems, incidents, and service changes.

The ideal candidate brings 7 years of cabling and testing experience, is comfortable with VIP customers, and holds a high school degree plus a related IT/CS degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years’ experience overseeing and installing telecom cables including vertical and horizontal runs.
• Experience locating and diagnosing signal transmission defects using test equipment and visual inspection.
• Experience with ground power equipment, pressure equipment, and related test tools.
• Willing to support multiple sites in the area and work onsite in DC.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, operate, maintain, coordinate and support DOS Enterprise Telecommunications networks for voice and data services.
• Install and upgrade systems on a scheduled basis and fulfill service requests.
• Manage and maintain NCR computer equipment rooms; respond to incidents and changes.
• Handle procurement of equipment, materials and installations and perform financial transactions related to service changes.
