Job summary

NextEdge is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Foreman to lead on-site telecom construction crews in Hayward, CA. You will coordinate daily activities, supervise tower technicians, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

This senior role requires advanced technical expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to navigate complex field challenges while maintaining OSHA/EHS standards and fostering a safe, productive work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to pass DOT requirements.
• 8+ years in telecommunications construction.
• Experience with major carrier sites and upgrades (MODS, NSB, Electrical, Civil, DAS, Small Cells).
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and RFDS.

Responsibilities

• Supervise tower technicians and crew on construction, repair, and maintenance tasks.
• Serve as on-site point of contact with stakeholders.
• Lead tower construction activities: assembly, erection, antenna installation, grounding, testing.
• Ensure site closeout docs uploaded to customer platforms.
• Manage site and crew paperwork.
• Oversee testing: sweep, PIM, fiber.
• Provide on-the-job training and enforce safety.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles.
• Operate Capstan hoists and rigging hardware.
• Uphold OSHA/EHS safety standards.
