Job summary

Electro Rent is seeking a Senior Account Executive for Telecom to grow and protect a portfolio of strategic telecom accounts across the Midwest. This field-based, remote role focuses on the telecom data center buildout ecosystem and requires disciplined account planning, relationship-building and a proven track record in B2B sales.

Qualifications

• Proven outside sales or account management experience in telecom or related technical B2B industry.
• Experience managing high-value named accounts.
• Understanding of telecom infrastructure, network deployment, or buildout ecosystem.
• Strong relationship-building, territory planning, forecasting, and negotiation skills.
• CRM experience with Salesforce or similar.
• Ability to travel 50-75% throughout the Midwest.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow a portfolio of strategic telecom accounts and prospects.
• Develop relationships across the telecom buildout ecosystem.
• Conduct approximately 10 in-person customer visits per week.
• Identify opportunities within network expansion and infrastructure projects.
• Create account plans focused on retention, growth, and new business.
• Lead the sales process from discovery through negotiation and close.
• Partner with marketing, inside sales, and technical teams.
• Maintain accurate pipeline activity and forecasts in Salesforce.
• Re-engage dormant customers and expand existing relationships.
