Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated seeks a Senior Technologist, Technical Service to provide technical support to customers and the CSPI team across food and beverage applications. The role focuses on texture and healthful ingredients, developing formulations and prototypes in pilot plant and lab settings.

You will work closely with Sales, Marketing and Global Applications to bring new technologies to market, travel up to 30%, and contribute to GTM strategies for NA customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry or related field with 4+ years of product development experience or Master’s with 2+ years in human foods.
• Knowledge of food processes, ingredient functionality and interactions such as starches, hydrocolloids, fats and proteins is a plus.
• Ability to formulate products across a range of food categories.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for development and troubleshooting.
• Lab pilot plant and bench-top experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Customer Relationships & Project Management: respond to customer needs, provide data, identify formulation challenges and develop new ideas.
• Product Development: formulate and evaluate product function, support plant-based protein development for NA customers, prototype from bench to pilot scale.
• Team & Territory Management: collaborate with Sales, Marketing, CSPI and customers to deliver technical service and new concepts.
