Job summary

Master Electric Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Technician to join our Technology Systems Division.

This role focuses on delivering high-quality installations across structured cabling, security and life-safety, and AV systems, while communicating clearly with customers and project teams. You will test and certify cabling, set up devices, read blueprints, and lead small teams on a variety of commercial, educational, and industrial projects, maintaining safety and professionalism on every

Qualifications

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass a physical exam and drug screening.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and lead small teams.
  • 2+ years of experience in structured cabling or related fields (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Install and test structured cabling including Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a and fiber, perform terminations and testing.
  • Install and test security and life-safety systems: PA, intercoms, cameras, and access control; configure networked devices.
  • Install and test audio/video cabling, displays, speakers, projectors, and control systems.
  • Represent Master Electric Inc. professionally on job sites and maintain a safe, clean work environment.

Job description

Master Electric Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Technician to join our Technology Systems Division. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality installations, communicates well with customers, and enjoys working on a variety of low-voltage systems.

Structured Cabling:
  • Install and test coaxial, CatSe, Cat6, Cat6a, and fiber optic cabling.
  • Perform terminations, labeling, certification, and troubleshooting.
Security & Life Safety Systems:
  • Install and test public address systems, intercoms, cameras, and access control.
  • Set up and configure related networked devices.
Audio/Video Systems:
  • Install and test AV cabling, displays, speakers, projectors, and control systems.
Professional Expectations:
  • Represent Master Electric Inc. professionally on job sites.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and team members.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Required:
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass a physical exam and drug screening.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot in the field.
Preferred:
  • 2+ years of experience in structured cabling, low-voltage, or similar fields.
  • Manufacturer or system-specific training.
  • BICSI certification (Installer/Technician) a plus.
  • Ability to read blueprints and lead small teams.
