Job summary

IPG Photonics, headquartered in Marlborough, MA, seeks a hands-on technician to trouble­shoot electronic, robotic and pneumatic components in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. You will implement preventive maintenance, assist in installations, and produce detailed SOPs and repair manuals.

Collaborating with production engineers, you will enhance process reliability, support equipment uptime, and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced, tech-forward environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a relevant field or 2-3 years experience in a related industry.
• Expertise in Troubleshooting Electronic, Robotic, and Pneumatic Components with ability to diagnose and repair complex systems.
• Excellent communication skills and strong technical writing to draft SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair PCBs and other electronic assemblies used in semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
• Lead or assist in installation of new equipment with proper setup and calibration.
• Create and update technical documentation, repair manuals, and SOPs.
• Oversee spare parts inventory and procurement for ongoing maintenance and repair activities.
