Job summary

dsm‑firmenich Biomedical is seeking a Senior Technician Maintenance for the 1st shift in Exton, PA to ensure reliability, uptime, and GMP compliance of manufacturing and facility equipment. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and maintaining regulatory records while supporting production operations.

The position includes on-site work, occasional on-call rotations, and opportunities to contribute to 24/7 operations through off-hours support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year technical degree preferred.
• 1–3 years’ experience in a similar position required; medical device manufacturing or GMP preferred, medical materials/chemical manufacturing strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Working knowledge of various power & hand tools (wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.).
• Ability to read and understand schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, set up, repair, and maintain new and existing manufacturing tooling and equipment.
• Develop and update maintenance procedures as necessary.
• Train assembly technicians on the operation of manufacturing equipment.
• Complete entries in preventatives maintenance logbooks and Facilitiesworks program.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing process problems with manufacturing personnel.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineering as required.
• Assist with general facility issues relating to plumbing, HVAC, and electrical services to maintain proper working conditions.
• Maintain non‑production equipment that supports production.
• Organize and maintain spare parts inventory for timely repairs on all equipment.
• Provide management with periodic reports.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and provide off‑hours support to sustain 24/7 operations.

Onsite (Monday - Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

As a Senior Technician Maintenance, this critical operational position ensures the reliability, uptime, and compliance of manufacturing and facility equipment. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance execution, troubleshooting equipment failures, supporting production operations, and maintaining regulatory‑compliant documentation such as CMMS and GMP records.

• Ability to read and understand schematics.
• Proficient written & oral communication skills and computer literacy.

Compensation

Hourly wage: $24.00 – $32.00 per hour. Pay range reflects the value the company places on the applicant’s skills, experience, and education. Additional compensation may include annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs, and other benefits subject to eligibility requirements.
