Base pay range

$21.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Position Summary

Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians! You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance for all commercial equipment in our stores. Responsibilities include developing maintenance schedules, completing assigned PMs on time, and training Store Associates on equipment care and cleaning.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5 years' experience in maintenance
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass MVR
• 1 year' experience with intermediate proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

What You’ll Do

• Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, food equipment)
• Complete routine maintenance ensuring safety and functionality
• Manage work orders and maintenance schedules, including documentation (expenses, logs, summaries)

Additional Compensation

Hourly wages range from $21.00 to $40.00, with possible premiums based on schedule, location, or work performed.

Minimum Qualifications

Vocational/technical certification and 5+ years in trades like plumbing, electrical, or 7+ years in similar trades. Valid driver’s license and eligibility for CDL. Experience with Office software is required.
