Job summary

ASR INTERNATIONAL is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer for the Tools Branch to support engineering technical services for the U.S. General Services Administration.

The role focuses on technical writing, Item Purchase Description updates, data validation, cataloging requests, and quality reporting for powered and non-powered hand tools. Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Technical Writer or equivalent in a government/defense environment.
• Ability to update Item Purchase Descriptions and validate data for NSNs.
• Familiarity with technical standards (ASME, SAE, MIL-STD, CID, ANSI).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the designated Senior Technical Writer for the Tools Branch and coordinate branch-level work and personnel as needed.
• Create, update, and maintain Item Purchase Descriptions within TIMS or EDMS through research and documentation review.
• Support NSN creation and updates, averaging hundreds of NSNs per month, and ensure timely updates to descriptions and characteristics.
• Record changes with dates, reasons, and responsible individuals; apply applicable standards and references.
• Review drawings, validate data for NSN actions, and ensure consistency across databases and files.
