Job summary

Mujin US is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to create clear, user-friendly documentation for technical products, systems, processes, equipment operations and maintenance, and research findings. You will partner with developers, engineers, and other technical staff to ensure documentation reflects current functionality and practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, or STEM preferred.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• Familiarity with software, hardware, or engineering concepts relevant to our industry.
• Experience with documentation tools, CMS and publishing software.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers, engineers, and technical staff to ensure docs reflect current processes and product functionality.
• Write user manuals, how-to guides, integration guides, API docs, system operation and maintenance content.
• Determine structure and layouts for complex manuals; research and interpret technical data, drawings, and specs.
• Ensure content reviews and updates are incorporated into final docs.
• Edit for clarity, impact, flow, accuracy, and readability for diverse audiences.
• Develop schedules and plans for docs projects; conduct usability testing as needed.
• Maintain documentation standards, templates, taxonomy, metadata, and governance.
