Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Technical Writer, Senior Associate in the Health, State and Local Sector to join us in supporting the Medicare Fee For Service claims processing system. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field with 2+ years of technical documentation experience.
• Experience creating system-level documentation such as architecture diagrams, interface specs, data dictionaries, and user guides.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all documentation is revised and published within 10 business days of system updates.
• Establish and enforce documentation standards, templates, version controls, and style guidelines.
• Maintain a centralized document repository with proper tagging and archiving.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, engineers, analysts, and operations staff to collect accurate information.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Conduct periodic audits of documentation and coordinate updates with relevant teams.
• Support creation of onboarding materials, training, release notes, and knowledge-base articles.
• Assist with compliance documentation and artifact preparation for reviews and audits.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and release planning to anticipate documentation needs.
