Job summary

RPH is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to develop accurate, clear, and field-ready documentation for our commercial building products. The role demands translating complex engineering data into written and highly visual materials, including manuals, data sheets, submittals, and training content.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, Quality, and Sales to ensure technical accuracy and consistency, while traveling up to 15% to engage with field teams and keep the documentation

Qualifications

• Must have: 10+ years in technical writing and 5+ years in construction.
• Experience in construction, building products, engineering, manufacturing, or other technically complex environments.
• Strong graphic design and visual communication skills.
• Experience creating technical manuals, diagrams, illustrations, or similar visual documentation.
• Ability to travel up to 15% to support field work and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain installation manuals, data sheets, CSI specifications, submittals, and quick-reference guides.
• Translate drawings and product information into clear instructions, graphics, and visuals.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, Quality, Product Development, and Sales for technical accuracy.
• Develop video-based installation and training content when appropriate.
• Maintain document library with version control and consistent terminology.
