Job Title: Technical Writer

Kaukahi, LLC is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to develop, edit, and maintain a wide range of technical documentation for hardware and software systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in master planning environments and be skilled in producing clear, accurate, and user-friendly documents, including installation guides, configuration manuals, and technical reports. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, interpreting technical data, and ensuring compliance with documentation standards and configuration management processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents such as software and systems engineering, operations, testing, and user documentation.
2. Write and edit technical documentation for hardware and software, including installation, configuration, and How-To guides.
3. Utilize technical publications, drawings, and consultations with technical personnel to provide field, data definition, and data flow documentation.
4. Research and produce technical articles, publications, presentations, and other materials to communicate findings and developments clearly to internal and external audiences.
5. Interpret and administer documentation and communication policies and procedures.
6. Ensure all documents are version-controlled through the QA system and adhere to Configuration Management processes.
7. Provide technical recommendations and support for other documentation needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of technical writing experience in a master planning environment.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, Adobe Pro, and experienced with version control systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to create infographics, process charts, and engaging presentations.
• Familiarity with Adobe InDesign and FrameMaker is a plus.

Additional Information

Location: Remote

Compensation: Up to $110,000 annually.

Physical Requirements: Sitting or standing for extended periods, typing, reading from screens, and mobility to perform duties.
