Job summary

Alliant Energy is seeking a Senior Technical Training Specialist to design and deliver complex training programs. This role blends classroom instruction with field training and requires regular travel to ensure programs meet business needs.

You will evaluate training impact, identify skill gaps, and partner with departments to drive continuous improvement in work practices and safety. A Bachelor's degree is preferred and a valid driver's license is required for travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; 5 years in training or a technical discipline required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability to facilitate groups, lead meetings, and adapt presentations for diverse audiences.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication; knowledge of adult learning theories.

Responsibilities

• Plans, designs, develops, and delivers complex technical training programs.
• Conducts training needs assessments and measures program effectiveness.
• Monitors feedback and identifies skill gaps to improve learning outcomes.
• Evaluates participants and maintains training records; supports material purchases.
• Identifies cost-effective training solutions and delivery methods.
• Engages in other duties supporting Alliant Energy's values and purpose.
• Travels as needed to deliver classroom and field-based training.
