Job summary

Horizon3 is a fully remote cybersecurity company delivering autonomous pentests and secure software assessments. You will own complex failures across Kubernetes, cloud IAM, and application logs, acting as a technical bridge between customers and engineering.

Build tools in Python, automate data collection, and mentor teammates to raise the bar. The role requires strong Linux, Kubernetes, cloud, GraphQL, and database skills, plus a proactive approach to root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on technical experience with security/SRE related roles.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and command-line proficiency.
• Container and Kubernetes deployment and troubleshooting experience.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) with IAM and VPC concepts.
• GraphQL APIs, web application security concepts, and debugging skills.
• SQL/NoSQL databases with data investigation abilities.
• Python and Bash scripting to automate tasks and tooling.
• Observability tools, preferably Datadog, and log/trace analysis.
• Excellent written and spoken communication for various audiences.
• Bonus: cybersecurity/pentesting background and full-stack coding.

Responsibilities

• Investigate complex failures across the full stack end-to-end.
• Bridge customers and engineering with actionable bug reports and verification.
• Build tooling and automation to reduce manual work and improve reliability.
• Drive systemic improvements by identifying product and infra gaps.
• Go deep on web application security and explain findings to diverse audiences.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar through training and patterns.
