Job summary

International Game Technology (IGT) is seeking a Technical Support Engineer V to act as a senior SME for key product domains, supporting a global, multi‑vendor environment. The role emphasizes resolving highly complex issues, mentoring teammates, and driving permanent fixes through close collaboration with Engineering and Product Management.

You will analyze logs, trace API flows, and develop tools to improve incident response, with a focus on reliability and customer impact prevention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 10 years of work‑related experience required.
• Experience diagnosing complex issues across distributed, multi‑system environments.
• Experience with API integrations and production‑level fixes.
• Experience mentoring other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical SME for core product domains (promotional tools, core platform functionality, game engines).
• Act as senior escalation point for incidents exceeding generalist L3 support.
• Collaborate with platform engineering to reproduce issues and validate fixes.
• Trace and analyze API and integration flows; enhance diagnostic tools.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and problem management to reduce MTTR.
• Create and maintain runbooks, debugging guides, and knowledge articles.
