Job summary

NexTier Completion Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Technical Support Specialist to join the MDT Technical Support team.

This senior contributor role expands frontline duties to include advanced software troubleshooting, development, integration, deployment, and escalation responsibilities. The role participates in a 24/7/365 rotating support schedule and supports software configuration, testing, and deployment across MDT products and customer environments.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science, software development, information technology, electronics, instrumentation, automation, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as C#, Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or comparable technologies.
• Working knowledge of APIs, data formats, source control, development workflows, and software testing practices.
• Experience with industrial communications, system integration, data interfaces, and advanced software configuration.
• Strong understanding of Windows systems, networking, IP communications, services, ports, and remote troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform core responsibilities of Technical Support Specialist including Talkdesk coverage and case ownership.
• Act as advanced escalation resource for complex controls, software, networking, and deployment issues.
• Design, configure, test, deploy, and troubleshoot advanced MDT software configurations and non-standard deployments.
• Set up and operate simulation/test environments for troubleshooting and validation.
• Support QA, Engineering, Quality and Production with specialized testing and validation activities.
• Provide onsite training and knowledge transfer for MDT software setup and testing when required.
• Configure and troubleshoot integrations between MDT products and third-party systems.
